Murder Investigation: 154 Spencer Street

On August 14, 2025, at about 9:30 p.m., multiple calls came into 911 reporting a fight involving a person stabbed and then a person shot. Officers arrived and found a woman in her 30’s suffering from at least one stab wound and a male in his 20’s suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Both were transported to URMC by AMR.

A short time after arrival, the female victim was pronounced dead. The male remains in the hospital with at least one gunshot wound and is listed in critical condition.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned the male and female were involved in an argument, which escalated to a physical altercation, resulting in the male stabbing the female. While he was stabbing her, an unknown person intervened by shooting the male at least one time.
