Menacing a Police Officer Arrest

Rochester, NY - On May 1, around 6:45pm, Officers responded to the area of Norton Street and Goodman Street for the report of a male with a gun. Officers located the male, 19-year old Angel Cirilo, at the corner of Goodman Street and Strathmore Circle, where he immediately ran from Officers. Officer chased him across the street, where he stopped, pulled out a handgun, and briefly pointed it at an Officer. Officers were able to convince Cirilo to drop the gun and he was safely taken into custody following a successful Taser deployment.
A 9mm “ghost gun”, with a 3d printed frame, loaded with nine rounds, was recovered from the scene. Cirilo was transported to the Monroe County Jail where he is currently being held on $5,000 bail.
Angel Cirilo, age 19, is charged with Menacing a Police Officer, Attempted Aggravated Assault of a Police Officer, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd and 4th Degrees.
