Lincoln Street Gun Arrest

Rochester, NY - On October 1, around 1:30am, an Officer on a Koper patrol in Clinton Section heard two gunshots followed by a ShotSpotter activation in the 100 block of Lincoln Street. Officers converged on a vacant lot and addressed two males at the location of the ShotSpotter activation. One of the males, 37-year old Jerry Robinson, was found to be in possession of a loaded .380 caliber Ruger LCP handgun in his pocket. Additionally, Officers located evidence of shots fired, consistent with the caliber of handgun found on Robinson. The preliminary investigation found that Robinson appeared to have been “test firing” the weapon. Thankfully, no one was injured during this situation and Robinson was transported to the Monroe County Jail.
Jerry Robinson, age 37, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, Prohibited Use of a Weapon, and Open Container of Alcohol in Public.
