Extended R-Center Hours Offer Activities and Meals While School is Closed Tuesday, Jan. 27

Rochester, NY - Mayor Malik D. Evans has announced that City R-Centers will open early on Tuesday, Jan. 27, while the Rochester City School District is closed. All City R-Centers will operate from 12 noon to 7 p.m., and will offer lunch and dinner.
“We are pleased to offer Rochester’s children places to stay warm, stay safe, and have fun while winter weather impacts school schedules,” said Mayor Evans. “And I want to extend our sincere thanks to Foodlink for providing lunches and dinners across our R-Centers when kids are out of school.”
R-Center locations include:
Adams St., 85 Adams St.
Avenue D, 200 Avenue D
Carter St., 500 Carter St.
Frederick Douglass, 999 South Ave.
Edgerton, 41 Backus St.
David F. Gantt, 700 North St.
Tyshaun Cauldwell Center for Hope, 524 Campbell St.
Trenton and Pamela Jackson, 485 N. Clinton Ave.
Willie Walker Lightfoot, 271 Flint St.
Thomas P. Ryan, 530 Webster Ave.
All other City facilities will be open during their regularly scheduled hours.
