Draper Street Hit and Run

Rochester, NY- Around 8:30am, a City of Rochester Crossing Guard was struck by a vehicle was crossing in the crosswalk on Draper Street at the intersection of Portland Avenue. The victim, a female in her 70s, was transported to Strong Hospital with non-life threatening lower body injuries. The preliminary investigation found that the victim was in the crosswalk on Draper Street, with her issued stop sign, when what appears to be a gray Chevrolet Equinox made a right turn from PortlandAvenue and struck her.


The suspect vehicle continued on Draper Street and did not stop. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 911.
