COUNTY EXECUTIVE BELLO ANNOUNCES UPCOMING CIVIL SERVICE EXAM FOR PROBATION DEPARTMENT JOBS


Rochester, NY — Monroe County Executive Adam Bello is encouraging interested candidates to sign up for upcoming civil service exams to fill positions within the Monroe County Probation Department. The deadline to sign up for the exam is Monday, May 18. The exam will be held on June 27. Open positions include Probation Officer Trainee and Probation Officer.


“Our probation department plays a vital role in strengthening public safety—not only by ensuring accountability, but by guiding individuals with criminal records as they rebuild their lives and become productive, contributing members of our community,” said Monroe County Executive Adam Bello. “If you are looking for a career where you can make a real and lasting impact, I encourage you to sign up for the civil service exam before the May 18 deadline.”


Probation officers are responsible for the control, supervision and care of adults and juveniles subject to probation supervision or intake services while require them to meet certain standards of conduct. Officers also counsel and coach probationers and others receiving probation services to change patterns of thinking and behavior to help promote and sustain a law-abiding relationship with society and reduce the likelihood of re-offending.
