City R-Centers Closed Now Through Friday, Sept. 5, for Staff Training and Preparations for the Upcoming School Year

All City R-Centers will be closed August 27, 2025 through Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, for staff training and preparation for the upcoming school year. Fall schedules, programs, and activities will begin Monday, Sept. 8, when City R-Centers reopen to the public.
Regular R-Center hours will be Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Adams Street, David F. Gantt, Trenton & Pamela Jackson, and Willie W. Lightfoot R-Centers will also be open on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The City’s R-Stars Afterschool Program will run Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for Rochester youth ages 6–12. Participants will receive both a snack and dinner daily.
Fall recreation programs at City R-Centers and facilities will include sports and athletics, dance, cooking classes, and open recreation opportunities with games and activities. A variety of adult program offerings will also be available, including fitness classes, open gym time, and community workshops.
The Thomas P. Ryan R-Center, at 530 Webster Ave., will remain closed through the end of 2025 for renovations. The Sully Branch Library, co-located with the Ryan Center, will remain open under its regular schedule.
