City Hall, Other Administrative Offices to Close Tuesday, July 4 in Observance of Independence Day

Refuse and Recycling Delayed by One Day City Branch Libraries to Close Public Market and International Plaza to Close


(Friday, June 30, 2023) – Rochester City Hall, Rochester Public Libraries, Neighborhood Service Centers, R-Centers, the City of Rochester Public Market, and the Honorable Loretta C. Scott for Human Services administrative office building at 57 St. Paul St. will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.


Refuse and recycling collection will not take place on Tuesday, July 4, and pickups will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. For more information, visit www.cityofrochester.gov/residentialrefuse/.


Rochester Public Library branches will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, and reopen on Wednesday, July 5. For a full list of branch locations and hours, please visit https://libraryweb.org/hours/locations-hours/.


Rochester Animal Services, 184 Verona St., be closed on Tuesday, July 4, and reopen on Wednesday, July 5. For more information, visit www.cityofrochester.gov/rochesteranimalservices/.


The City of Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union St., will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, resuming regular hours on Thursday, July 6. The City of Rochester International Plaza, 828 N Clinton Ave., will be closed on Sunday, July 2 in observance of the Independence Day Weekend, resuming regular hours on Monday, July 3. For more information visit www.cityofrochester.gov/InternationalPlaza/.


The 311 Call Center will remain open with normal hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday–Friday.
