Members of the City of Rochester’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will hold the first in a series of in-person outreach activities to gather public input for the fiscal year 2027-2028 City budget from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Community Resource Fair, 63 Thomas St.

The series of in-person budget input sessions will continue through Oct. 10 at several upcoming public events, where OMB staff will invite the public to offer feedback on budget priorities. Following Saturday’s in-person budget outreach event, input sessions will be held at the following public events:

  • ROC the Block Community Employment Fair, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23, Parcel 5, 285 E. Main St.

  • MVP Healthcare Fall Festival, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, Parcel 5, 285 E. Main St.

  • Westside Farmers Market, 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6, St. Monica’s Church parking lot, 831 Genesee St.

  • The Rochester Public Market, 8:30 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 280 N. Union St.

The City also encourages residents to participate in other community-input opportunities embedded into the City’s annual budget process: an online survey and a Telephone Town Hall community forum.

The online survey, available at www.cityofrochester.gov/budget, will be open through Nov. 9.

The Telephone Town Hall will take place on Monday, Oct. 26, and provide thousands of city residents with an opportunity to participate in a live discussion about budget planning by phone with Mayor Evans and senior members of his staff.

For more information on the budget process, to take the online survey, or to sign up to participate in the Telephone Town Hall, visit www.cityofrochester.gov/budget.
