East Rochester, NY – Assemblymember Jen Lunsford is proud to announce the launch of her Fifth Annual Boxing Day Toy Drive, continuing a growing holiday tradition that brings new life to gently used toys while supporting local families and community organizations.
Each year, Assemblymember Lunsford’s Boxing Day Toy Drive collects hundreds of toys that are ready for a second chapter from our generous community and donates them to organizations including Keeping Our Promise, Saints Place, and SWAN Inc. at Montgomery Center. The drive provides families with a sustainable way to pass along toys their children have outgrown—keeping them out of landfills and placing them in the hands of children who will benefit from a meaningful gift.
“This toy drive is one of my favorite events of the year,” said Assemblymember Lunsford. “It brings our community together, reduces waste, and helps brighten the holidays for local children and families. I’m grateful to everyone who participates and to the organizations that help us distribute these toys where they’re needed most.”
This year, the most requested items include: soccer balls, baby dolls, puzzles, Legos, and books for all ages.
Donations may be dropped off between December 26th and January 3rd at any of the following participating libraries:
East Rochester Library
Penfield Public Library
Mendon Public Library
Pittsford Community Library
For those who prefer to donate from home, items may also be purchased through the online registry available by clicking here.
