The City of Rochester is now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 session of Rochester Community University, a free program. This session will focus entirely on financial empowerment, with classes designed to help residents strengthen their knowledge in areas such as stabilizing personal finances, pursuing homeownership, starting a business, and connecting with City and local resources.
“Rochester Community University is one of my favorite programs because it helps build community by bringing neighbors together, connecting residents with City Hall, and creating meaningful dialogue,” said Mayor Malik D. Evans. “These classes offer a bird’s-eye view of the financial empowerment resources available to all community members, and we hope participants share what they learn with others in their lives.”
The Fall 2025 classes are offered by the City’s Office of Financial Empowerment in partnership with the City’s Neighborhood Service Centers. Sessions will be held virtually on Tuesday evenings from Oct. 21 through Nov. 4.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025. For details and to apply, visit: www.cityofrochester.gov/community-university.
