ABC's PROWD Youth Program Host's Holiday Event At Rochester Presbyterian Home

ree

Rochester, NY – This holiday season Action for a Better Community’s PROWD (Providing Real Opportunities With Dedication) students are showing what it means to give back, and we invite you to be a part of it!

On December 18th, students from Rochester Academy Charter School, Genesee Community Charter School, and Roberto Clemente School No. 8 will be visiting the Rochester Presbyterian Home for a special Volunteer Day. Together, they will spend time with the residents, bringing joy and comfort through activities like singing Christmas Carols, passing out treats, reading, coloring, and simply providing companionship.

As many know, the holiday season can be challenging for older adults. According to MedicareFAQ.com, 44% of seniors experience loneliness during the holidays. Our students are doing their part to brighten the lives of residents and spread some much-needed holiday cheer.

We invite you to join us in celebrating this spirit of giving and kindness as we come together to make the season brighter for those who may need it most.

Event Details:

● Location: Rochester Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Rd., Rochester, NY

● Date: December 18, 2025
