60th Anniversary of the McQuaid Invitational

Rochester, NY — The McQuaid Jesuit Cross Country Invitational returns to Genesee Valley Park on Saturday, September 27, celebrating its 60th year as the nation's largest high school-sponsored cross-country meet.
Widely recognized as one of the largest privately run cross-country events in the United States, the invitational draws thousands of athletes and more than 10,000 spectators. This year’s milestone will feature food vendors, event merchandise, and a full day of races starting at 9:00 a.m.
“The McQuaid Invitational has matched last year’s record with an astounding 265 cross-country teams, including teams from California and Colorado,” said Todd Stewart, Meet Director . “We are excited to show these teams that have traveled from near and far, all that Rochester has to offer. Some athletes have already planned visits to iconic local attractions like the George Eastman Museum and Mount Hope Cemetery, a perfect way to experience the city beyond the course.”
More than 7,000 athletes from twenty states and two Canadian provinces are expected to compete. The event is open to the public, offering fans an opportunity to cheer on athletes in a lively atmosphere. Locals are encouraged to attend and join in on the fun!
