19th Ward — Held annually on the first Saturday in June, the annual Square Fair offers something for everyone.
Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration at Square Fair 2026, where we'll honor 60 years of the production of the Annual Square Fair of the 19th Ward Community Association. This year’s is a White Diamond Celebration honoring the 60 Years’ therefore we have dubbed it the “All White Affair,” Food, Fun and Family. Participants and Festival goers are encouraged to wear all white to commemorate the event.
This historic event will recognize the pillars of the community, Jackie Ferrell, founder of the Westside Farmers Market and former 19WCA Office Manager, and 19WCA Past President Dana K. Miller, both serving as our Grand Marshals of the parade. The Square Fair Committee will also be honoring Moiet James, the designer of the iconic Square Fair Logo. Ms. James is also a former Square Fair Peter Evans Kids Zone Coordinator. As if honoring these individuals were enough, the committee will collaborate with the Rochester City Council to honor the following individuals:
Ebenezer Baptist Church – The late Rev. D. Anthony Bonds
Nate Rawls Community Jazz Band
Tony “Grand Tone” Simmons & Sharia “Lady Star” Simmons
Shanden “Coach Pinky” Jackson – Steppaz
Paul Boutte, Music Producer and Rochester Music Pillar
The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a hearty pancake breakfast, lasting until 10 a.m.; the remainder of the day will be filled with music, local business vendors, arts-crafts, great food, and fun children’s games and activities.
In addition to the activities at 11 a.m., the parade kicks off through the neighborhood streets to the event site and a presentation ceremony on Aberdeen Square. THRUSTON RD> BROOKS AVE > WOODBINE AVE > SQUARE FAIR. For the first time, we will have a trackless train in the parade. The train will also be on Aberdeen Square for rides around the square for a fee.
This year, the 19WCA Square Fair is bringing in music headliner Low Key Live featuring Theresa Lott, a tribute band that performs Smooth R&B, 70’s thru 90’s classics.
