The other day I decided to find out how many books there are in the Game of Thrones series and accidentally came across the https://booksrun.com/blog/how-many-game-of-thrones-books-are-there/ website. It turned out that the famous saga reads five of these novels, and there are two more to come, which are still in development. The article on the website was so interesting that I read it in one breath. It reminded me of how long ago I first got acquainted with this fantasy world through the series and wanted to return to the original source. Martin wrote the books with such depth and attention to detail, which they clearly paid special attention to. Now I know for sure that I will soon add them to my reading list. Who knows, maybe I will find something in the books that will open up the story for me from a new side.

It’s always exciting to rediscover a story from a new perspective! Reading the Game of Thrones books after watching the series can be a completely different experience, as George R.R. Martin’s writing brings even more depth and complexity to the world of Westeros. The additional details, character arcs, and inner monologues often reveal aspects of the story that didn’t make it into the show. Since there are still two books in development, it’s also intriguing to think about how the original storyline might differ from the series' ending. Enjoy your journey into the books—there’s so much more to uncover!
