Kamae
McNeill
Born
in Brooklyn, New York this U.S. Marine has his doctorates in martial arts philosophy
and martial sciences. While on his tour of duty, McNeill was able to study under
an 8th degree black belt in jujutsu. After his tour Dr. McNeill went on to teaching
here in Rochester. He has taught at the Universtiy of Rohester and at RIT as an
assistant instructor. He then became a senior instructor at Nazareth College.
One of his greatest accomplishments
includes coming up with a new martial arts system. He is the founder of the American
Goshinjutsu system that uses three forms of martial arts that focuses on limb
manipulation by the application of pressure points. The three forms consist of:
Akijutsu, Okinawan Jujustsu, and Kodokan Judo. The Martial Arts Alliance and the
International Federation of Ju-Jutsuans went on to certifying this system making
it a credible and a viable form of martial arts.
Dr.
McNeill has also excelled in many other aspects of athleticism. He has won several
medals, awards, and titles including two gold medals, one from the N.Y.C. Judo
games and the other, from the Jr. Olympics in Judo (1976). He has also won the
open and regional heavy weight champion titles (1984,1982) and currently holds
the title for the greater Rochester international karate championship. With a
fighting record of 30 wins, he is someone that literally fights his own battles
in life.
Dr. McNeill is
a man of man accomplishments but still finds time to keep involved in the community.
He is involved with the boy scouts of America, East H.S. after school program,
City recreation services of Rochester, Monroe plan Inc, Geneseo college, Adams
street recreational center and many more.
Dr.
Kamae McNeil is the highest-ranking Jujustsu artist in New York State and the
6th highest in the United States.
