Charmaine
Cohen
Charmaine
Cohen was born to Mrs. Etta J. Cohen and the Late Caldon L. Cohen in Rochester,
New York. She's an educator with the Rochester City School District where she
began as a classroom teacher, and now coordinates the Parent University of the
Office of Parent Engagement, a program to empower parents in their children's
education. Her long term goal upon completion of her doctoral degree is to serve
as a superintendent of a small school district.
Charmaine is a well-rounded
young woman who has traveled nationally and abroad to Africa where she was privileged
to connect with the homeland of her ancestors. Her entrepreneurial spirit is realized
through her company, Cohen Properties, a real estate investment business. In her
spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, fellowshipping with family and
friends.
Charmaine serves her community in various capacities: Board Member
of Urban League of Rochester, Advisory Board Member of Educational Opportunity
Center, Social Action Chairperson of the Rochester Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma
Theta Sorority, Inc., and Baber AME Church Women's Missionary Society.
