African Natives Allege Racism at City Hall

“I was intentionally misled by the City of Rochester,” charges Demisse Tessama, African native and local businessman. “The city couldn’t legally deny me the right to open a business, so they ushered me into failure.” He doesn’t blame bureaucracy but, rather “race” as an impervious obstacle deeply rooted in City Hall – an obstacle especially challenging for people of color.
